EXCITING TIMES IN 2009

GOOD NEWS

That’s right, let’s start of the year with good news.  Amid the horrible news in December that the publishing industry was going up in flames – no more manuscripts being purchased, came a wonderful piece of news on Alan Rinzler’s blog (http://www.alanrinzler.com/blog/2008/12/31/are-publishers-still-acquiring-books-the-answer-is-yes/).  I do not want to spoil the blog post – but the short answer is…Publishers are definitely still buying.  Good news for writers.  Yes, the industry is going through a long overdue paradigm shift – but early reports are that the shift will actually benefit the author…more good news.  So, let’s commit to making 2009 the best year for all of the would-be and already-published authors.

UPCOMING FEATURES: On another note – I wanted to fill you in on what’s in store for 2009.  I am planning on a couple of series regarding parenting tips, nurturing creativity in the young, as well as more information regarding the craft of writing and resources to find on the net.
