HAPPY ST. PATRICK’S DAY…
As I said yesterday, ABNA quarter finalists were announced yesterday. Of course, they weren’t announced until 10pm (PST) – leaving many frustrated, freaked, etc.
Contests are like that – everyone waiting on pins and needles. Since I am posting about this as part of a gratitude series, you are probably thinking I made it, huh. Well….
Unfortunately, I didn’t make it to the 500. I did make it past the first round (from 10,000 to 2,000) – so I guess that is a step in the right direction.
In a few weeks I’ll get the reviews and score sheet so I can have some objective feedback – definitely worth the wait time (and win-win in my book).
I do want to congratulate a friend and critique buddy – Elana Johnson. Her novel, Control Issues, made it to the quarter-finals, and I couldn’t be happier!!! Check out her excerpt and judge for yourself …fabulous isn’t it!
So what am I grateful for today –
The support of friends and family, the successes enjoyed by friends (and that reminder that great things do happen to those who work hard), and the willingness to take a risk and try. Eventually it will pay off. My job is to keep working at my craft, put myself out there and keep plugging away.
What are you thankful for???
Later this week:
· Work in Progress Wednesday
· Guest Blogger Christina Katz stopping by on Friday
· 40 Days of Gratitude continues…
Have a great day!
