Hey, that’s right. That’s the Blog Chain topic started by Kate.

Books Are:____________________

So, my answer:

  • Amazing
  • Incredible
  • Spectacular
  • Freedom

Yep, books have always been my everything. They were the friend I turned to when I had none. They provided the escape I needed and the adventure I craved. In good times and bad, the answer to my life could always be found on the page of some book.

And now that I am blessed enough to contribute a few lines, books have really become…

My Life.

Thought I’d end with a quote I love from a movie I love, Dead Poet’s Society:

We don’t read and write poetry because it’s cute. We read and write poetry because we are members of the human race. And, the human race is filled with passion. And medicine, law, business, engineering, these are noble pursuits and necessary to sustain life. But poetry, beauty, romance, love, these are what we stay alive for. To quote from Whitman, ‘O me! O life!… of the questions of these recurring; of the endless trains of the faithless — of cities filled with the foolish; what good amid these O me, O life? Answer. That you are here – that life exists, and identity; that the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse.’ That the powerful play goes on and you may contribute a verse. What will your verse be?

~ John Keating Quotes from Dead Poets Society

How would you fill in the blank?

Oh! And I am taking the rest of the week off. I’ll be back on Monday, Nov 29. Have a fabulous week!
